I checked on my supplement order today to see if it was being shipped anytime soon and I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered Green Coffee Bean Extract and Raspberry Ketones on May 12 and they were finally processed for shipping yesterday, May 28. I am hoping to have them in a few days. If you ordered from Pure Health100 you may want to check on the status of your order. The Green Coffee Beans were on back order due to their popularity. I think they have finally caught up on filling the orders. Hopefully I will not run out in the future. I plan on ordering them in advance and keeping an extra bottle on hand. I am really curious about the green coffee beans after hearing all the positive results people are experiencing.
Baking with coconut oil:
I wanted to update you on the success that I have had while baking with coconut oil. I was searching for along time for a healthy ingredient to add in my recipes that would take the place of shortening and butter. Coconut oil is great for baking in cookies, cakes, muffins, and any other recipe that calls for shortening or butter. I made a batch of chocolate chip cookies this past weekend and included coconut oil instead of butter. The cookies were really great and even my grandson who is very picky about his cookies loved them. The coconut oil is very mild and does not effect the taste of the recipe. So far I have been successful replacing sugar with honey, coconut oil for shortening, and whole wheat flour instead of regular white flour. I would note that coconut oil is more expensive than vegetable shortening however the health benefits are so much better and worth the extra cost. Now when I am cooking I am providing my family with healthier treats with ingredients that are good for them.
Olive oil is another wonderful cooking oil that has many healthy benefits. I use olive oil in recipes calling for oil instead of vegetable or canola oils. I have posted information on oil in past postings however I didn't realize some of the following facts. Here are some interesting facts that I found while researching olive oil.
** Extra virgin olive oil means the oil comes from the first pressing of the olives and it retains flavor and nutrients.
**Cold pressed means that no heat was used in the pressing of the olives, for heat is known to destroy valuable vitamins and nutrients.
**Virgin olive oil comes from the second pressing of the olives.
**Pure or regular olive oil is refined and chemically processed.
Olive oil like coconut oil can tend to be more expensive than other oils however the extra price is worth the benefits to your health.
In future postings I will be including home remedies used in the past with olive and coconut oils.
