Weight loss update!



NOTE:  In the near future I will be posting a video of stretches and exercises that I do with and without the easy shaper pictured above.  Watch for the video!

Today I wanted to share my experience  and progress with weight loss and healthy eating.  Above you will see a picture of my "Easy Shaper" that I use 3 days a week for 15 minutes.  This machine offers resistance and stretching exercises.  It is a great machine when starting a new exercise program for it is easy to use and doesn't cause you to harm yourself.  When you first begin an exercise program you can easily hurt or pull something.  This machine allows you to adjust the resistance so that you do not harm yourself during a workout.  I found this used for $25.00 at the Salvation Army second hand store.  I am not sure if you can still buy them new.  If you do not have an Easy Shaper or cannot locate one try using resistance bands which can be purchased in most stores.  Resistance training/exercising is what is recommended for women due to decreased muscle strength and bone loss as we age. 

Weight loss update!
  I have been taking Raspberry Ketones and Green Coffee Beans for a time now.  I began the Raspberry Ketones on April 20 a little over 3 months ago.  On June 3 I began taking the Green Coffee Beans in addition to the Ketones.  Along with following all the healthy eating habits that I discuss on the blog I have lost 17 pounds in 3 months.  This may not seem like a lot to some however this is weight that is gone for good and I will not yo-yo and put it back on because of the changes in my eating habits.

As I have noted before in blog postings, the weight we put on did not happen overnight and the weight we take off for good will not come off overnight either.  If you follow a healthy eating plan and make simple changes in your diet as those we discuss on the blog and in the journal challenges you too will keep the unwanted weight off for good. The journal challenges offer you baby steps toward reaching your healthy weight and a better lifelong diet.  I challenge you to begin the weekly journal challenges and work your way slowly toward your weight loss goal.

My goal was to loose weight and develop better eating habits that I could continue even after my weight loss levels off.  I wanted to develop a healthier way of eating that I could live with into the future and not feel like I was on a continual diet.  With the changes I have made in my eating and cooking I will be able to maintain a healthy weight and keep off the unwanted pounds.

I saw small weight loss at the beginning of taking the raspberry ketones of a pound or two.  After being on them for about 4 or 5 weeks I began to feel the difference.  I also started out on only 200mg and then increased that to 400mg a month later.  The addition of the green coffee beans I feel also played a role in additional weight loss.  I would also note that I exercise (resistance and stretching)  3 times a week for 15 minutes.  I only exercise prior to eating breakfast for this gives double the effects of the workout and my time and effort is well spent.  This is so important and if I don't exercise prior to breakfast I skip it for that day.  Exercising prior to eating your first meal of the day is so important and the most beneficial for fat burning.

Supplement Plan:
I have people ask me what supplements I take so I am including them in this posting.  There are so many out there and I do change mine from time to time.  With my new eating habits I don't feel that I need as many supplements as I use too.  I change my supplements at times depending on how I am feeling.  At the present time I take 800mg of green coffee bean (one before lunch, and one before dinner) they are 400mg capsules.  One capsule--400mg of raspberry ketone ( before breakfast),  along with 1,000mg of Evening Primrose Oil which is in a softgel capsule, and one full dropper of "B-Total" which is a liquid vitamin taken for energy.  The liquid B also helps enhance your energy during exercise and times you are under stress.
