Happy Thanksgiving! I love the holidays a time for visiting with family and friends and oh, yes, don't forget all the different foods that only seem available this time of year. As we all know the foods that we eat during Thanksgiving are not always the best choice for helping reduce belly fat. You don't need to avoid all those great foods just follow some of the following tips to help you maintain a healthy weight. I have provided some tips that I use to help me get through Thanksgiving. It is great to eat a variety of foods however keeping your portions under control and making wise choices will help you when the Thanksgiving feast is over.
Below are some tips to help you through Thanksgiving.
#1--On Thanksgiving morning be sure to eat breakfast. Many times I hear people say they are going to save room for more at lunch and skip breakfast. This is a no-no for you will be very hungry by lunch time and tend to over eat.
#2--Stay hydrated and drink a lot of water or green tea throughout the day. When you are properly hydrated you will have less hunger cravings. Green tea will help you with fat burning.
#3--Eat slowly and enjoy your food. Enjoy your food and chew it well. When your food is properly chewed your body will be able to absorb or digest it into your system better and you will feel full sooner.
#4--Eat more frequently. Thanksgiving and the holidays are a great time to eat more frequent mini meals. Mini meals are smaller meals that you eat throughout the day (5 meals, 3 hours apart averaging about 300 calories each). These help you stay satisfied and therefore will not over eat as we tend to do during larger meals. Keep in mind "portion control".
Enjoy the holidays and all the food that comes with it just watch your portions and make wise choices. Happy Thanksgiving!!
