I have been experimenting with portion
control and eating less more often throughout the day not really knowing
why it works until I read information from Josh Bezoni on the topic.
This way of eating works because it helps you reduce the hormone known
as cortisol in your body. All people have this hormone which responds
to chronic stress and is a major cause of belly fat. The higher your
cortisol level the more fat you usually have. Eating small mini means 3
hours apart instead of 3 large meals will help reduce your cortisol and
help get rid of the belly fat. This has been proven in the following
study.
A study was published in the New England Journal
of Medicine where people eating mini meals 3 hours apart everyday
decresed their cortisol levels by 17% compared to people eating the same
amount of food in 3 large meals. This in turn proves you can loose fat
by eating the same amount of food just stretched out over 5 mini meals
instead of 3 large ones. The reason this works is that you increase
your calorie burning metabolism and have better nutrient absorption.
Basically you keep your body fed and therefore your metablolism is
charged, this allows you to burn fat and better break down the food you
are eating into your system. This method of eating will also have a leveling effect on two other hunger and fat storing hormones (leptin and insulin).
This way of eating once
again goes back to portion control and the ability to control the
quantity and quality of the foods you are eating. You cannot just eat
any junk food that you want or high fat foods and stretch them out over 5
mini meals instead of 3 large meals and expect to have positive
results. You must include fat burning foods and keep your mini meals to
around 300 calories. Your meals should not have any processed foods or
junk food. The foods should include foods such as those listed in the
15 top fat burning foods below.
The 5 mini meals need
to be 3 hours apart. I have begun using the following times (7a.m., 10,
1, 4, and 7p.m.) however you can create any time frame that works best
for you. Keep in mind that mentally and physically eating 5 mini meals
does seem weird at first. Your body needs to get use to this way of
eating. Because your stomach is stretched and use to eating a large
meal it will take a few days to shrink your stomach to where you feel
satisfied and full. At first you may feel hungry and not seem full
however if you stick with the plan for a few days you will see a
difference and begin to feel full when you eat. I also include the
green coffee beans and raspberry ketone within my eating plan and that
helps with cravings and to burn fat. I take one 400mg green coffee bean
extract supplement in the morning about a half hour before I eat and
then a raspberry ketone 100mg a half hour before my 1 and 4 o'clock meals. I also include 1000 i.u of vitamin D and one dropper of liquid B-Total once

will see a big difference in your body shape if you consistently follow
eating 5 mini meals that are healthy 3 hours apart. Be sure to include
as many of the top fat burning foods as possible in your diet. I eat
avocados as often as possible on my omelets, in guacamole, and sliced on
salads, hamburgers, or sandwiches. They are the #1 fat burning food.
